To support the ongoing operations we need a talented Linux Engineer to support the administration, monitoring & incident response for our platforms.
Job responsibilities include
The eBay Classifieds Group Site Operations team is responsible for 24/7/365 monitoring and incident response to site infrastructure and suite of site related services. The eBay Classifieds Group clusters exist of hundreds of servers spread out over multiple data centers in The Netherlands, Germany and the United States.
You will work in a team of Linux Administrators, Network Engineers and Data Center technicians in Amsterdam (NL).
Education, skills & Experience
The ideal candidate will be fluent in English (pré Dutch) and has;
- 3+ years of hands-on experience as fulltime Linux system administration;
- Solid knowledge of (Debian) Linux;
- Basic knowledge of MySQL, Apache, Tomcat, Nagios & Cacti;
- Proven problem solving track record focused on quick outage restore, root cause analysis technologies;
- Positive attitude and willingness to take on new responsibilities;
- You will work in 8 hour shifts;
- Fulltime salary, running just 32 hours a week !
