DetaVast: Infrastructure architect (ref. 62584)

Your main tasks will be:

• Translate business goals into infrastructure principles, guidelines and standards in the following domains: Platform, Integration, Security, System Management and monitoring, Network
• Ensure compliance with infrastructure standards in projects
• Identify and manage requirements and developing the future infrastructure architecture of our customer facing infrastructure together with the various business stakeholders 
• Provide management with advice on short and long term infrastructural decisions
• Create or review infrastructure designs
• Work closely together with software development, project managers and engineers in the feasibility, definition and design phase of projects
• Track, research and test relevant technologies, identify potential opportunities

• At least 2 years experience as an infrastructure architect in similar environments 
• Bachelor or Masters degree (Computer Science, Information Sciences or equivalent is a pre) 
• Proven experience with designing IT platforms, based on design criteria such as total cost of ownership, scalability, security, flexibility & performance 
•  In-depth knowledge of application environments (session awareness) 
• Basic knowledge of components like: Apache, MySQL & Oracle; ActiveMQ; Xen; Nagios; NFS; HA clustering; Cisco networking equipment, NetApp storage (NFS) and Dell (Lintel-) servers, security equipment, virtualization 
• Fluency in English 
• Knowledge of ITIL/ISM and project management methods (e.g. Prince2). 
• Affinity with business processes and application architecture 
• You posses the following skills: helicopter view; excellent communication skills; result driven, self propelling, pragmatic, flexible
